The BAFTA Young Game Designers competition invites teams of young people aged 11-16 to submit a design for a new video game, helping them to learn about the different roles within video games design and understand the value of key subject areas for entry into the industry. A panel of games professionals and celebrity gamers judge the entries, and the winning team will be announced at BAFTA's Children's Awards in November.
BAFTA is partnering with EA, the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA), and Abertay University for the competition. The winning team will receive a prize package that includes a BAFTA Young Game Designers Award; work experience at Bright Light, an EA games studio; and a prototype of the winning game developed with Abertay University.
A competition flyer is attached, which you might wish to copy and share with your colleagues and students.
